Merry Christmas! Mental Beast and the Eggnog Experience.

This is a christmas project that I wrote and produced with Conor Holler, Craig Anderson from Bronx Cheer, and Jordan Christianson from 'With friends like these'. I also star in it as Kiles McKay, A.K.A The Jet skiing king. What is it?

Mental Beast is an innovative 12-episode comedy series that spans two mediums, with two totally distinct show formats — audio and video. It tells the story of KRML, a radio station on the verge of collapse, by bouncing between the audio episodes of a radio show called Mental Beast and video episodes depicting the station’s behind-the-scenes exploits. 

Remember when you heard ‘Christmas in Hollis’ by RUN DMC for the first time? Christmas music didn’t have to be attributed to shopping mall soundtracks and Bing Crosby. The Eggnog Experience is a double album compilation featuring 30 of Vancouver’s best indie bands writing their own and interpreting traditional holiday songs. Many of the bands are interviewed on the Mental Beast radio show and, additionally, their compilation tracks serve as the soundtrack to the web-series. The compilation was curated by Cameron Reed, co-director of Vancouver’s premier independent cultural festival, Music Waste.
